Its an age old argument – dogs or cats? If you’re looking for a new pet, read the following to determine if a cat or dog is better for you!

Dogs

  • Pack hunters
  • Have an alpha (usually their human!)
  • Social & friendly
  • Typically more energetic
  • Easier to train
  • Obedient
  • Require lots of activity
  • Can be more expensive

Cats

  • Lone survivors
  • Independent
  • Can jump & climb
  • Highly intelligent
  • Longer lives
  • Willful
  • Easier to potty train (litter box)
  • Can live in small spaces

Which One Is Right For Me?

Based on the previous lists, you should know more about cats and dogs temperament. Cats are more independent, can live in smaller spaces, and are a little easier to deal with because they don’t require as much attention.

Dogs are pack-based by nature and require a lot of training and activity. They are also more social than cats and tend to be more friendly. If you are an introvert, you are more likely to enjoy the company of a cat. If you are extroverted, you might enjoy a dog’s company more! Both make great pets!
