Our JRT of the Month for April is a sweet boy named Lincoln. Read his mom’s story about how she came to love him!
“You were in a house fire. The local vet clinic saved your life & nursed you back to health. They would post updates about you on Facebook. I fell in love with your face & your story made me cry ugly tears.
I got to meet you when I came in to get meds for my other fur babies. The vet handed you over to me. You had a cone on & your backend was still bandaged. You put your face on my cheek & let out a sigh. I was a goner.
At Easter time I had to go back to pick up more meds. The nice lady there told me that you were ready for a foster home & Easter weekend would be a great time, so the workers didn’t have to keep checking on you & you wouldn’t be alone. I took you home for the weekend, the next week when I took you back, the vet said that you were ready to be adopted out. We were chosen to be your forever family. (PS: your dad had spent time in a burn unit after high school & the vet knew that!)
People say how lucky you are to have us, but the true story is that we are the lucky ones. This is Lincoln! He will be 3 this summer.”
